Although i did not go for the christmas celebration but from the pictures, i can see that the whole company had lots of fun playing and eating together.

Even though i did not have much fun, i am glad that you guys did. I wished i had gone with you guys but i had some personal reason for not going.

Yat ming post^^

In the bus we sang christmas songs, when we reached Plaza Singapura, we had lunch there for 1 hour. We ended up eating in the food count because all the fast food restautant were full of people. After our lunch we went to take pictures for our blog. We began to walk to tanglin mall from plaza singapura, as we walked to tanglin mall I saw hundreds of shopping malls in their decorations for christmas celerations. After a tiring walk to tanglin mall, we waited for the other squads, when the final squad came, we put our bags down and went to play with the snow. we had some fun, for me i put foam on jovis' hair and shirt. After it was over,we walked to a bus stop to wait for our bus as we were tired =_=.when the bus came we all went into the bus to have a good rest.

Christmas Celebration 2008 - Samuel

Hey is Samuel here doing the posting! Based on the pictures I saw, I can see that everyone had fun...everyone except m, because due to some reason I did not joined you guys there. You guys played "snow", but it has been around for a long time, I used to play that same "snow" when I was young. I hope everyone had fun and I also hope everyone learned the True meaning of Christmas! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!

Christmas 2008-Jovis

We were heading to Plaza singapura(Aka PS) by the bus after the program. While we were trying to kill time, we sang some christmas songs along our journey . While we going to have our dinner in PS, our squad took the same lift with "xiao" mdn, chiong song saw the word P.S, he keep saying "pang sai".....(lol)
We went to buy our food and i ordered Salmon Don and it costed me $5.90!!!!!! Boris ordered Chicken Don i Guess. I forgotten what Chiong Song ate, something that was not beef. After we had eaten our heavy meal,we went to take more photos along Orchard Road. We reached Tanglin Mall to meet up with the other 3 squads. We played some soaps and i got my whole hair covered with it, thanks to Yae Ming and Shawn.... After playing for 15 mins we decided to stop and went to wash up as we were covered with soap. We were feeling tiring after a long day and were gladed to take the bus back to church.

THE END....

Christmas Celebration 2008 - Chun Siong

Hi I am Chun Siong and I am here to post about how I feel about this year Christmas Celebration.

The songs was meaningful and the game we played on the bus was great. I hope that we could have our dinner closer to Tanglin Mall, because everyone was very tired, after the long walk.

I find that playing with "snow" part was quite funny when Clement the CSM was being make up using the snow. It was the best Christmas I ever celebrated!

Christmas Celebration 2008

Hey people, I am here to update this blog about the recent Christmas Celebration on behalf of my squad! If you are wondering who I am, I am Kok Yong! So well basically I would be here to show you guys what exciting and meaningful things that we did as a 28th Family to celebrate this joyous season!

The day start off by doing those usual routine, like Squad Leader fall-in and Muster Parade.

After which we had our Sing-A-Long session, and definitely everyone was shocked, upon knowing that Officer Justin take over as our Sing-A-Long Leader, because seldom do we see such scene whereby the Officer is the Sing-A-Long. We sang Christmas carols and some songs, however in the midst of enjoying these soothing melody, it is always important to make an effort to understand the meaning behind all these words.

Mr Chin took over afterward, as the devotion leader! We did something different again, for this devotion, Mr Chin show us a video clip about how's God love has moved people heart and touched their life. He emphasised to us that while enjoying this joyous season, we must never forget why are we celebrating this day. People nowadays has the misconception on what is the true meaning behind Christmas, many people regard this day as simply a day for them to exchange gift and the chance to see Orchard road up with many beautiful lightening. And there is lots of thing around us that has caused us to drift away from our knowing the true significance of this day, and Mr Chin refer all these as "Noises". They are things that is always around us, so Mr Chin urged us that we should take time to quieten down ourselves and reflect about it. Christmas is not about us, is about Jesus, the Son of God! He is the reason of why we are able to be here!

Right after that, we did something new, that we never had done before! Normally we will bring gifts and exchange it within ourselves, we did something that is more cool thoi time rounf , nevertheless much more meaningful! It was a Christmas Card Exchange session! We were randomly given a paper, which on it state the code on who are we writing too. We were given Christmas Card and using that we are supposed to write some well-wishes to the person that is stated on the paper. I got Lek Wei! In the mean time, we also received a gift which is contributed by all the working officer! Thanks Officers!

I didn't joined the others for the later part of that day, because of something on, but I think all of them had a great time out there!
After all, the emphasis of this whole programme was to let us known the difference on how Christian and how people around the world celebrate this season of peace and giving!

Enjoy the pictures of Squad Corinthians out!

Christmas Celebration outing

For this year Christmas celebration outing, the whole company went to Tanglin Mall to play with "soap" snow. We had our dinner at the Plaza Singapura. We were very impressed by the christmas decorations outside the Plaza. There are beautiful christmas tree and many statues of Shepherd, Angels(not as Holy as the real one!!! ), Sheeps and also Mary and Joseph carrying baby Jesus. We all posed and took some photos with them for remembrance.

About the "soap" snow, we did not enjoy that much because the place was packed with too many people and we found it hard to play. We walked so much that at the end of the outing we were all exhausted!
Overall i think that the program was allright and the singing of song was nice as it kill most of the time but only the walking part that took most of our time to reach the Mall

Senior Proficiency Star Award

The following is officer Dennis' posting on the Company blog.

Congratulations, Kok Yong! And Stanley too, who was formerly also from our squad.

To the rest, especially Boris, continue to work hard, and your turn will come.

Dear Sec4-to-be Boys,

We are pleased to announce that we have 4 recipients of the Senior Proficiency Star Award this year. Here are the results of your accumulated hard work and perseverance over the past 3 years. Keep up the good work!

Regards,
Officer Dennis

Officer Gary's 21st Birthday

This morning after the Youth Worship, we gathered in a classroom upstairs to celebrate the birthdays of officer Gary, Joshua F and Boon Hwee. For officer Gary, it's his 21st.

Here are the pictures of that celebration.

After that, while officer Wen Wei took the Boys' cell, the rest of us went to Park Royal Hotel on Kitchener Road to have a birthday lunch for officer Gary. We had ala carte buffet in the Chinese restaurant in the hotel. We also bought him a tie (a trendy black tie, according to officer Dennis, who bought it), and a birthday card which we all signed. Last night, Dennis and I went to IMM to get a box for the tie, and we had dinner there too.

Here are the pictures of us (thankfully, not showing how much we ate) in the restaurant and hotel lobby.

Latest Inspection Score

Hey guys

Take a look at the latest inspection score.

We were not first for the inspection on Founder's Day - we were third, with only 14.33 points behind Solomon and Ephesians.

That narrowed the overall score for the year. We are now only 2.63 points ahead of Ephesians.

And none of our Boys got full inspection score that day.

If we are not careful, we will lose our lead in no time.

Time to buck up on our uniform, uniform parts and boots.

Our Inspection Performance Deteriorating

Hey guys

Look at the latest inspection points. In the middle of July, we were almost 16 points ahead of the next squad. Now we are only 5 points ahead. Let's buck up on our performance from now on. Otherwise, our aspiration of being the Best Squad for 2008 will not be realised.

And Boris was the only one who scored full points last Saturday. Hope to see more Squad Corinthians Boys in the full score column soon.

Officer Gary

Officer Gary booked out last night, and was in church today. There didn't seem to be any holes in him, and he seemed to be still in one piece, at least for now. Look at him in his nice new hair cut.

17th Primer Guan Long

Hi Corinthians,

Heres photo of Guan long when he was secondary 1, like i say, he is so chubby. I remember last time I was a squad leader in Philemon as when he joined the BB, really want him in my squad, but Corinthian got him instead, HAHA.

From left: The weird photo-pose as expected Officer Wenwei, Wei Qin, Guan long, Alan, Shanker, and wisest of the wisest Mr Chin.

Everytime you see his photo, you would want to pinch his face*. Here's another photo taken with Alan. Both of them are actually also very cute. Lol!

Take a closer look, our current squad leader, Kok Yong who was yet to be in Senior appeared in the most right corner.

Guan Long had really proved us wrong especially me, when I question his leadership capability in my mind 'Can he really become a squad leader? Can he lead a squad if he's so shy?' when he joined us.

But we can see Guan long is willing to take up responsibility as he gain support and encouragement from all the Officers, especially Captain to get him involved every way when possible. Which I believe all our Boys always have the chance.

Most importantly, Guan long showed us one example of 'Not looking down on Yourself' when he became a squad leader. When Shanker and Alan left BB, Guan long was the most senior boy left in his squad, and without consideration, of course he has to become the next squad leader. Haha, I believe Guan long was forced out of his comfort zone and that makes him what he was today. At least no more a shy boy right?

Whew, sorry for the long story..

Once again, Happy 17th Birthday to our Primer Guan Long. Work hard in ITE and move on to polytechnic after that. Most importantly, use what you had learn in the BB and apply it to your life. God bless.

Take A break...And GREAT news...

Study hard to catch up what you're lagging behind your class this holiday, BUT MUST remember to take some break from time to time. The great news, well, is that during the LDC 2 there's a talent performance, and our squad leader, Kok Yong got the best actor award for crying the most, haha, and was mistaken as acting a Girl when he was acting a very good Boy.

Whew -_"

False alarm! Haha, my laptop seems to be running well after backing up all my files, seems like the error is playing prank on me.

Well, back to business!

One more thing, do not be despair Corinthians, although some of you are forced to get in the safety vehicle to return to church, knowing that you can walk all the way back. But most important is the process, remember?

Make use of your June school break wisely, take care!

Oh my GOSH!

Oh Gosh was my first reaction when my laptop shows error when i use 'Disk CleapUp'.. It detects some changes/corruption in my core OS files and require me to insert the Recovery CD.

I was taken aback as I've just bought this laptop for approx half-a-year and never expect anything like this to happen. Thank God I've got a few empty DVD-R's at home to backup as many as I presume I'll need it again such as my BB documents, music songs, school projects etc. Especially this mid-2008 when quite a few projects had been going on such as
-'Coy-T 2008'
-Our company '40th Anniversary Video'
- 2 other websites which i've agreed to design

For the past few hours, i've been burning 3 dvds, and one more to go! total of 4 dvds..

Well, one key lesson is that sometimes we might be too ambitious in life and agree to commit to many duties on both hand.

But are we able to finish them on time, as agreed?
Or will somebody else will be affected if we did not kept our promise?

Well, I'll just pray that I'll be disciplined to seize every free hour after my work to finish up especially the Anniversary video.. As for Company T-shirt is already done, so not much of a problem.
As for the other 2 websites commitment, I can settle it within 3 weeks before entering NS..

As for now, I need to get my laptop back on normal state!

Alright, take care Corinthians!

Happy Birthday Cadet Lek Wei and Cpl Victor

Well, happy birthday (tomorrow) to the 2 of you, from all of us!

This is Cadet Lek Wei. I remember him when he was in P6 in Shuqun Primary School. He would hang around during the Junior Parades after his PSLE exam. He was much rounder then.

This is Cpl Victor. I remember him when he first came to join us. He was in Fuhua Secondary then, and I always remember the school's shocking red PT kit Victor used to wear when he first joined us.

And now look at them. All big and grown up. Happy birthday!
