Hello there!

Hello!

Great Job, to the those who had met their target in BB week, well done! Remember to thank those who had donated to you, or from the church, or at least smile at them when you see them on Sunday morning..

And I also came across this email from Captain regarding how to wear our nametag/chest badges together, have a look :

I strongly encourage all of you to go for any available courses and camps that our company had signed up for, especially during June & December Holidays, you have only 4-5 years to collect as many badge as you can!

Personally, i feel that one of the most enjoyable thing to do when i was a Boy back then was to wear all the badges that i've achieved..

If i have a chance to take a photo of my badges, i'll post up again here..

Ok, thats all. Study hard everyone!

Painting of BB Room

Hello!

just remembered that i still have the photos taken during painting of church BB room one fine Friday, but forgotten when exactly which date. Never mind, anyway it's after many many days when Guan long finally gets everyone to meet up to paint it. Haha sorry Guan long.

Here's when we have shifted out this 2 big and heavy metal cabinets.. both are very heavy, but the grey one is actually heavier than the brown, believe it or not~

Here are the other antiques hidden behind the cabinet. We've thrown the 2 fishing rods away, although it holds back some memories back then. It was when lek wei was sec1 together with some other senior guys like dennis, hiang hwa, mingzhe, and me; We went fishing in Chinese garden (shhh...) and bought the fishing rod and net in budget shop in Jurong point. It was kind of fun back then.

And squad Corinthians sec1s like Chun siong, Samuel came for squad polishing, and boris back there drinking soya bean milk.

While some of them were working hard painting the room, Guan long went for a mission outside to catch a bee, haha.

(The bee is circled in red if you can't see)

Anyway Guan long did work hard before everyone arrived, he clean and scrub the whole fan and wipe it dry. And he must have breath in lots of dust, Thanks Guan long for the effort too.

Not forgetting those primers and officer Yifeng for painting the room. Here's some of the candid shots taken.
I didn't notice till just now when i upload the pictures, see Officer Yifeng 's shirts..~

He changed his cloth! I didn't know till today..

Cpl Jun Rong here sweating hard..

What is Primer Guan Long doing up there?

Primer Meng Huat painting that d

And here's one very funny picture of our Sgt Ming Huan posting for my camera. Say Cheese!

Last of all, while we're waiting for the room to dry for the 2nd/3rd layer, the seniors were revising the basha building. Guess who's inside the collapsed basha? Our primer Jeffrey and Sgt Ming Huan, haha, sorry censored...

Well, that's what happens that day. Take Care!

Parents Day 2008

Boris beat me to it.

Anyway, all the Boys in all the squads performed well today. The officers are all very proud of you.

Here are some pictures of our squad in today's event.

Here's Pte Samuel, looking very smart in his uniform and the Best Boy Award which he won last year. Oops, I didn't realise when I took the picture that his belt buckle was undone, ready for inspection.

Here's all of us with our parents and sibling.

Lcp Boris and Pte Jovis (they are brothers, by the way), looking very smart.

Officer Wenwei working very hard, as usual. He's our model of a servant officer.

The drill squad - with our very own Cpl Kok Yong and Lcp Boris. We are very proud of you.

Go to the Company blog to view more pictures of today's event.

Parent Day today!!!!(must read it please it is good for all the squad member)

Today is a very happy day for me because I can be smart by roling down my unifrom sleef and wear glove and some other boys that march was involed in the drill squad. Many in the squad also enjoy today program very much because they have a chance to talk to their parent which it is acturaly is to be. Today inspection was good and many of us in the squad got full points. As for the drill display I thought we cant do the display but in the end due to the rain stop we can do. When it was raining everyone was so disapointed.During the drill display we was full of confindent and we just did what we did when we are praticing in the afternoon.I hope all our squad member will care for their parent and spent more time with them. We need to work hard to for our unifrom and be the best squad award so that all our squad officers will be happy.Must Work hard and not slack!!!!!

Thing to watch out for polishing

Let start of from the boots : the boots must be polish untill you can see your reflextion.(must be all around the boots). Now the metal part : polish the runner till very brownish and it must shine. For the button hole it must shine too. The belt must be shining and it must not have any gold colour spot and some green dirt that is in some small area like some word. The badge and the cap badge must be polish too. Please follow all this because we need more point to win and be the best squad of this year.

Today Is Chun Siong's Birthday

Today is Chun Siong's birthday. A very happy and blessed birthday to him, from all of us in Squad Corinthians.

Chun Siong joined us as a Junior when he was in Shuqun Primary School. He is now in Sec 1 in Huayi Secondary School, and has come back to join us. We are happy that he is still part of our big family in Squad Corinthians.

Squad polishing

On thursday(20-3-08) we need to have a squad polishing because in Target and Drill camp our uniform part that needed to be polished is very bad so we need to have another polishing. please try to make it if cannot please write on the tagboard thank you.

Growing Up

Hi guys, it's my turn to blog today's event.

(Yesterday, to be exact) I went to BBDC 'Bukit Batok Driving Center' to apply for Basic Driving Theory Test. It was pouring the whole week, including today, and my friend, Koon Wai from NYP also accompanied me. Heard that the test was rather simple, so why not give it a shoot before going army right?

We reach there at approximately 11.30am and the whole process from queuing to registration to set test date took me 4 hours in total! Thanks to Peak hour.

As we walk back, I continued to asked him things about insurance, Medisave, CPF, investments, and all sorts of terms which i never care about when i was happily enjoying my secondary school life. But i realize that it's important to find out all these myself, since my parents actually have somewhat idea of CPF, but they don't really able to explain to me either.

(Oh sorry, who is Koon Wai? He is 24 year old friend of mine who i met last year during my school community service project in Cambodia, remember? He's a student studying the course in radiotherapy in NYP, oh ya, that course is only for 'A' level students. He also graduating this year with me, and he is currently considering whether to take up full-time job as a financial planner, or a radio-therapist in one of the hospital in Singapore. That's why i've been asking him anything and everything about finance and insurance.)

Boys, you'll soon came to find out that you couldn't avoid all these policies or money handling methods. When our parents reached the age of 60, you'll be like me, thinking whether what's your next step if something happens to them, that they are unable to continue work and earn money for us.

You will also be thinking about what can you do to help them lessen their burden and a lot more.
(Yes, my mother is turning 60)

So that's my thoughts for this whole week. See you guys on saturdays and Take care!

BB Week 2008

Hi Corinthianans

Remember to apply your best effort in this year's BB Week. The money you collect will be used to benefit you.

Let's be the squad with the best BB Week collection this year!

Officer Wenwei's Canadian Trip Pictures

Posted by Mr Chin, at his request. Oh, he also asked me to post 2 video clips. But I don't know how to do that directly in the blog.

Look at him, super strong. Wearing only t-shirt to play in the snow. And so faithful - wear 28th BB Coy camp t-shirt in Canada.

I didn't know what this picture was.....

...until I saw this next picture

White cushion or snow? is that title of this picture

I have created a blog

I have just create a blog. It's at http://soul-mhbb.blogspot.com/.

And BB week is starting, so let's work hard to achieve our target this year.
I have never reached my target when I was a Boy though, but there's some progressiveness in my collection, Sec1=only $20~$30(wasn't subsidised much as a result), sec2=improve a bit, $40~$50(not much difference from sec1), sec3=collected slightly more,$80~$90(still need to pay quite a bit for my LDC2 and the camp Malacca), sec4=finally pass the $100 gate,$110~$120(not very happy, because short of only about $30 to reach the target of $150 :'( )

So, work hard for your BB week, CORINTHIANS!!!

Our New Squad Blog

Hi Corinthianans

This is our new squad blog. Feel free to add your posts. Let's make it the best squad blog in 28th BB Coy!

Squad Corinthians rocks!!

Our Squad Outing on 23 Feb 2008

Squad Corinthians had our outing this evening after the parade. Boris wanted to have his outing, and he organised it. However, at the last minute, both he and his brother Jovis couldn't join us. Lek Wei also didn't join us. Chun Xiong couldn't join us for the makan. Stanley came back from Squad Ephesians to join us.

First, we went bowling at the Superbowl in Jurong. Gary, Guan Long and I didn't bowl. Many of the balls went into the gutter. But quite a number of pins were toppled over too.

Guan Long was lost in his own world, playing with his PSP, or whatever you call it.

After bowling, we went for a makan in the nearby KFC. Chun Xiong went off to join his family for dinner across the road. Usual KFC stuff. And I wasn't very full after the makan. Could be because I didn't take lunch today.

Victor went off to meet his family for dinner too. Samuel left us after finishing his food.
