Hi guys, it's my turn to blog today's event.
(Yesterday, to be exact) I went to BBDC 'Bukit Batok Driving Center' to apply for Basic Driving Theory Test. It was pouring the whole week, including today, and my friend, Koon Wai from NYP also accompanied me. Heard that the test was rather simple, so why not give it a shoot before going army right?
We reach there at approximately 11.30am and the whole process from queuing to registration to set test date took me 4 hours in total! Thanks to Peak hour.
As we walk back, I continued to asked him things about insurance, Medisave, CPF, investments, and all sorts of terms which i never care about when i was happily enjoying my secondary school life. But i realize that it's important to find out all these myself, since my parents actually have somewhat idea of CPF, but they don't really able to explain to me either.
(Oh sorry, who is Koon Wai? He is 24 year old friend of mine who i met last year during my school community service project in Cambodia, remember? He's a student studying the course in radiotherapy in NYP, oh ya, that course is only for 'A' level students. He also graduating this year with me, and he is currently considering whether to take up full-time job as a financial planner, or a radio-therapist in one of the hospital in Singapore. That's why i've been asking him anything and everything about finance and insurance.)
Boys, you'll soon came to find out that you couldn't avoid all these policies or money handling methods. When our parents reached the age of 60, you'll be like me, thinking whether what's your next step if something happens to them, that they are unable to continue work and earn money for us.
You will also be thinking about what can you do to help them lessen their burden and a lot more.
(Yes, my mother is turning 60)
So that's my thoughts for this whole week. See you guys on saturdays and Take care!
